Chris Oliviero is Executive Vice President of Programming at Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and the # 1 creator of live, original, local audio content reaching over 100 million consumers across multiple platforms. In this role, he leads content development and strategy for the company’s portfolio of news, sports and talk brands.
Prior to joining Entercom, Oliviero held various roles at CBS Radio, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Programming overseeing all music and talk formats. Oliviero is recognized for his pivotal role in the creation of CBS Radio’s best-in-class sports audio platform that includes many of the nation’s most successful FM sports properties along with the CBS Sports Radio national syndication network. Additionally, he was instrumental in growing CBS Radio’s award-winning collection of play-by-play partnerships that included marquee franchises such as the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. Oliviero also led the company’s expansion into marquee live events with “We Can Survive,” “Stars and Strings,” and “The Night Before” concert series. Oliviero began his career with CBS Radio in 1996 as an intern for “The Howard Stern Show.”
In 2015, Billboard Magazine named Oliviero to both the “40 Under 40” and “The Power 100” list. He also currently serves as a member of the Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment Advisory Board at the Barclays Center.
Oliviero earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.
