David Field

Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer

David Field is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

Field has served as Audacy’s (then Entercom) CEO since 2002 and its President since 1998. Under his leadership, the company has evolved from 15 stations with $35 million in revenues to a multiplatform audio business with $1.3 billion in revenues, 221 stations across 45 markets, one of the country’s largest podcast publishers, and a rapidly growing digital platform for consumers to connect live and on demand with their favorite audio content.

Prior to joining Audacy, Field was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York.

In addition to chairing the Audacy board, Field serves on the boards of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the National Constitution Center and The Wilderness Society. He is a former chairman of the NAB Radio Board and a former trustee of the Philadelphia Zoo and the Ad Council.

Field has received numerous civic and professional awards, including the National Association of Broadcasters’ National Radio Award in 2017. He is a three-time recipient of Institutional Investor Magazine’s “Best CEOs in America” and a two-time recipient of Radio Ink Magazine’s Radio Executive of the Year Award. In 2017, he was honored as a “Giant in Broadcasting” by the International Radio & Television Society. Field was named to Billboard’s “Power 100” list in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Field earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Amherst College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Brian Benedik

Chief Revenue Officer

Brian Benedik is the Chief Revenue Officer of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

In this role, Benedik leads all aspects of revenue generation across corporate, national, regional and local levels and develop fully integrated, multiplatform sales solutions and breakthrough strategies to attract new revenue streams.

Brian Benedik joined Audacy in November 2021 from Niantic, an AR developer platform and real-world gaming publisher, where he served as VP/Global Head of Revenue. Prior to Niantic, Benedik spent over 25 years in the over-the-air and digital audio space across a number of global and U.S.-centric organizations. For seven formative years at Spotify, Benedik was a key member of the senior leadership team as SVP/Global Head of Sales and Operations leading a team of over 550 people in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions. As the leader of the Spotify Global Advertising Business, Benedik oversaw the direct, programmatic, podcast, re-seller and self-serve platform teams as well as ad and sales operations, trading, global agency and accounts and training groups.

Other previous roles include Founder and President of Katz Digital, President of Christal Radio within the Katz Media Group; and General Sales Manager for WHTZ-FM New York at iHeartMedia. Benedik has held strategic advisory roles for Audible, an Amazon company, and Targetspot, a division of Audio Valley. He is currently a board member at Podcast Tech platform, Sounder.fm, The Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, The American Advertising Federation and PTTOW. Benedik holds degrees from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications and Columbia School of Business’ Continuing Executive Education program.

Benedik earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television and Digital Communication from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Syracuse University.

Elizabeth Bramowski

Chief Accounting Officer & Controller

Elizabeth Bramowski is the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

In this role, she oversees the Company’s corporate accounting functions, including SEC reporting, technical accounting, income taxes, and financial operations.

Bramowski joined Audacy (then Entercom) in June 2018 as Vice President of Business Operations, where she led the Company’s post-merger finance and accounting transformation activities. She was elevated to her current role in 2019. Prior to joining the company, she spent over 15 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC), one of the world’s largest professional services firms, where she served as a senior manager in the Assurance Practice. In that role, she oversaw global audits for several multinational public and private clients in the media and entertainment, consumer markets, industrial products and utility sectors. Additionally, Bramowski served as an SEC reporting expert in PwC’s National Office for two years.

She currently serves on the board of directors for Media Financial Management Association (MFM), a not-for-profit professional association dedicated to business and finance executives in the media industry.

Bramowski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from La Salle University and is a certified public accountant.

Idil Cakim

Senior Vice President, Research & Insights

Idil Cakim is the Senior Vice President, Research and Insights of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

In this role, Cakim leads the company’s business to business strategy and audio insights practice, with a focus on building perspectives, ideas, and client strategies.

Cakim has devised marketing and communication strategies for Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations for more than 15 years. Prior to joining Audacy (then Entercom) in 2020, she served as Vice President of Media Analytics Consulting for Nielsen, where she led custom media analytics projects for advertisers across various sectors. Cakim played an integral role in transferring big data from metered television, digital and radio panels into meaningful business assets for brands across the U.S., Japan and China. She also supported clients in achieving their objectives by advising on advertising efficiency based on media effectiveness, optimization, and targeting exercises. Other previous roles include Vice President of Client Development for NM Incite – a Nielsen and McKinsey company – and Senior Vice President of Interactive Media for Golin.

Cakim is the author of the book “Implementing Word of Mouth Marketing: Online Strategies to Identify Influencers, Craft Stories and Draw Customers (Wiley),” as well as numerous industry briefs and articles on digital communications. She has also served as a public speaker on marketing and technology trends and has been widely quoted in trade journals and newspapers such as The New York Times, CNet News, CBS Market Watch, The Financial Times and others. In 2010, she was named Digital Communicator of the Year by PRNews. She also serves on the Ad Council’s Research Committee and is a member of the World Future Society. 

Cakim earned a Master of Arts degree in communication from the Annenberg School at University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Bryn Mawr College.

J.D. Crowley

Chief Digital Officer and President of Podcast and Streaming

J.D. Crowley is the Chief Digital Officer and President of Podcast and Streaming of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

In this role, Crowley oversees strategy for the company’s digital portfolio, which includes the Audacy direct-to-consumer streaming service – home to thousands of top stations and millions of podcasts. Crowley also oversees Audacy’s podcast network, which includes the company’s podcast studios Cadence13, home to blockbuster franchises featuring top names in entertainment and media, Pineapple Street Studios, an award-winning, renowned independent producer of top-rated podcast content, and 2400Sports, Audacy’s sports podcast studio, along with hundreds of original shows from Audacy’s newsrooms and studios across the top 50 U.S. markets. In addition to the Audacy Podcast Network, Crowley also leads Podcorn, the company’s marketplace that connects over 70,000 independent creators with brands for native advertising and branded content at scale, along with Audacy’s digital agency providing digital marketing solutions to thousands of businesses of all sizes across industries. Crowley also oversees the QL Gaming Group, which includes the BetQL consumer subscription, predictive analytics, and premium sports betting content platform.

Prior to joining Audacy (then Entercom), Crowley held various roles at CBS Corporation, including Executive Vice President of Digital for CBS Radio and the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media for CBS Television Distribution. He also co-founded and served as the Senior Vice President of CBS Brand Studio, a digital video and branded content studio that developed, produced and distributed original content for dozens of leading national brand advertisers, digital publishers, and streaming services, as well as many of the company’s owned and operated television brands across the entertainment, news, lifestyle, and health and wellness categories.

Previously, Crowley served as the Senior Supervising Producer at “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider,” first for Paramount Domestic Television, and then for CBS. He began his career as a producer at KCAL/KCBS Television in Los Angeles, and has developed and produced content across genres from daytime talk shows to news magazines, late-night television, and reality, investigative, and live events formats.

Crowley has received multiple Emmy, Telly, Associated Press and Radio and Television News Awards, and is a proud alumnus of the USC Film School (Fight On!).

Sarah Foss

Chief Technology Officer

Sarah Foss is the Chief Technology Officer of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them. 

As Audacy’s first Chief Technology Officer, Foss spearheads the company’s efforts to innovate and differentiate its products and services via new technological capabilities. She also manages Audacy’s key technology initiatives, including software development, ad tech, business intelligence and analytics, data solutions, and Audacy’s recently acquired live and on-demand audio streaming business, AmperWave. 

Foss joined Audacy in 2020 as Chief Information Officer. In this role, Foss provided strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, acquisition, operation and support of the Company’s enterprise technology systems and programs. She also collaborated with cross-functional executives to create a vision for how digital, data and analytics, and new technologies can help create a differentiated experience and drive efficiency in operations.

Foss is a seasoned media technology executive with over 25 years of experience and a comprehensive understanding of the media technology ecosystem. She most recently served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives for FreeWheel Advertisers, a division of FreeWheel that provides a global media buying and selling platform to more than 1,200 advertising agencies around the world. Before that role, she was General Manager, Ad Tech for Imagine Communications, a market leader in advertising optimization and video infrastructure. She has also held various executive positions at global technology companies, including YANGAROO, Inc., Encompass Digital Media, VCI Solutions, and Harris Corporation. 

Foss is also a co-founder of Tech Bae, a tech-focused organization for women in the media and advertising ecosystem to connect for mentoring, networking, and community. She recently completed a decade of service to the Alliance for Women in Media in multiple board functions and is an honoree of several industry awards, including Broadcast Media’s Top Tech Leaders three years running; AdMonster & AdExchanger’s Tech Trailblazers at Top Women in Media & Ad Tech 2022; Cynopsis’ Top Women in Tech 2021; three-time finalist for International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers’ Woman of the Year Award; Individual Leadership Award from the TV of Tomorrow’s Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television; Woman of the Year Award – Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations from the American Business Association; and Finalist for Philadelphia’s ORBIE Award for CIO of the Year 2022. She holds a patent in the ad tech space.

Foss earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast communications from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master of Business Administration degree in management/telecommunications from Ohio University.

Susan Larkin

Chief Operating Officer

Susan Larkin is the Chief Operating Officer of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

In this role, Larkin leads operations for the company’s entire portfolio.

Larkin is a seasoned radio executive with over 25 years of experience. She previously served as Regional President overseeing multiple markets including New York, San Francisco and Sacramento.

Prior to joining Audacy (then Entercom) in 2017, she served as Regional Vice President at Cox Media Group, overseeing the Orlando and Jacksonville markets as well as overseeing the radio division’s national sales teams.  Previous roles have included Vice President and General Manager at Cox Media Group in Orlando, General Sales Manager for ABC-Disney Radio in Minneapolis and National Sales Manager and Account Manager in Columbus, Tampa, and Syracuse.

Larkin currently serves on the Board of Directors as past Chair of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB). Her previous board roles have included Radio Vice Chair for Florida Association of Broadcasters, Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities as well as President of Women in Media in Tampa, Columbus and Minneapolis Chapters.

Larkin has been recognized as one of Radio Ink’s “Most Influential Women in Radio” as well as Radio Ink’s “Most Powerful People in Radio.”

Larkin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Broadcasting from Oswego State University in New York.

Richard Schmaeling

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Richard Schmaeling is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Audacy. Audacy is a scaled, multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with a leadership position in virtually every segment of the dynamic and growing audio business—including broadcasting, podcasting, digital, network, live events, music, sports and news. Audacy is also the #1 creator of original, premium audio content, engaging 200 million consumers each month.

In this role, Schmaeling oversees and manages all aspects of the company’s finances.

Prior to joining Audacy (then Entercom) in 2017, Schmaeling served as the Chief Financial Officer at Travel Leaders Group, the largest travel agency company in the United States. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer at LIN Media, a local TV and digital media provider, where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s financial, accounting, tax, investor relations and compliance matters. In addition, he was actively engaged in the company’s successful integration with Media General. Schmaeling also served as the Vice President of Finance at Dow Jones, where he managed the financial planning, analysis, general accounting and transaction processing services for nine business units worldwide. During his tenure at Dow Jones, he played an instrumental role in transforming the company to provide more diversified multimedia content and information services. He also helped to facilitate its 2007 acquisition by News Corporation. Schmaeling began his career at Arthur Andersen in the audit and business advisory practice.

Schmaeling earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University and is a certified public accountant.

Paul Suchman

Chief Marketing Officer

Paul Suchman is the Chief Marketing Officer of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them.

Suchman joined Audacy (then Entercom) in September 2019. In his role, he oversees all aspects of Audacy’s marketing and communications discipline, stewarding the company’s brand and perspectives to every audience Audacy serves. He is responsible for building the company’s reputation and knowledge of Audacy’s capabilities with clients and agency partners, and bringing its growing portfolio of innovative audio products to market. Working closely with sales leadership, Suchman is also responsible for delivering best-in-class solutions to brands and advertisers.

Prior to joining Audacy, Suchman served as Global Chief Marketing Officer for CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm and a leading Fortune 500 company. In that role, he oversaw global brand strategy, advertising, digital marketing, social media, content and research marketing and business development marketing. Suchman also previously served as Executive Vice President and Worldwide Director for BBDO Worldwide, where he directed a portfolio of global brands and helped build the agency’s global brand consultancy practice. His agency and leadership experience also include tenures at WPP’s Ogilvy New York and Los Angeles offices, Agency.com and Lippincott.

Suchman serves as chairman of University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business’ board of directors, as a member of University of Oregon’ School of Journalism and Communications board of directors and as advisor of Oceana.

Suchman is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

Andrew Sutor

Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Andrew Sutor is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Audacy. Audacy is a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company with the country’s best collection of local music, news and sports brands, a premium podcast creator, major event producer, and digital innovator. Audacy engages 200 million consumers each month, bringing people together around audio content that matters to them. 

In this role, Sutor oversees legal and business affairs including acquisitions, corporate compliance and government relations. Sutor also has oversight of Technical Operations, Corporate Communications and Human Resources within the Company.

Sutor joined Audacy (then Entercom) in 2002 as Corporate Counsel. Mr. Sutor was appointed General Counsel in 2013 and elevated to Executive Vice President in 2017. He began his career as an associate in the Business Law Department of Saul Ewing, LLP, a national law firm based in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr. Sutor serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Broadcasters and the Board of Managers of the Broadcaster Traffic Consortium (BTC).

Sutor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from the University of Pennsylvania. Sutor also earned a Juris Doctor from Villanova University, where he was the managing editor of research for the Villanova Law Review.
