Since 2002, Boston’s WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon Has Raised More Than $56 Million

The Jimmy Fund solely supports Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, raising funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world.

It’s a story of grassroots involvement, where thousands of people from around the country organize fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for the cause.

Since 2002, Entercom Boston’s WEEI has partnered with local TV broadcast NESN, and the Boston Red Sox to host the WEEI NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon presented by the Arbella Insurance Foundation, to strike out cancer. Over the course of 36 hours and two Boston Red Sox games, this broadcast features compelling stories from Dana-Farber patients, doctors, researchers and nurses, celebrity guests and athletes, inspiring people all over the world to contribute to Dana-Farber’s lifesaving mission. Over the years, this event has raised more than $56 million.
