PHILADELPHIA, PA – November 17, 2020 – Entercom raised over $200,000 to benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) during 94.9 The Point’s (WPTE-FM) 19th annual “CHKD Radiothon” in Norfolk, VA. Since its inception 19 years ago, 94.9 The Point Radiothon has raised more than $5 million to purchase equipment, fund research, support patient care programs, and expand the mental health program at the hospital.

As part of the three-day virtual campaign, 94.9 The Point morning show hosts Mike Powers and Woo Woo broadcast live from 94.9 The Point studios on November 11-13 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, raising critical dollars for the region’s only children’s hospital. Programming featured CHKD patients and families, who shared stories of courage and hope.
