PHILADELPHIA, PA – August 6, 2019 – Entercom, a leading media and entertainment company and one of the two largest radio broadcasters in the U.S., congratulates KROQ (KROQ-FM) morning show hosts Kevin Ryder and Gene “Bean” Baxter, and CBS Sports Radio host Jim Rome on being inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame. “Kevin, Bean and Jim are individually some of the most talented personalities our industry has to offer and I’m proud that they are among this year’s National Radio Hall of Fame class,” said Pat Paxton, Chief Programming Officer, Entercom. “This prestigious honor recognizes their hard work and commitment to success in our industry.”
“I am honored and humbled to be part of this great class going into the National Radio Hall of Fame,” said Rome. “I am thrilled to accept this on behalf of everyone who’s been part of the show over the years and the listeners who have made all of this possible.”
“If you stay alive long enough, eventually, people will mistake you for someone else and give you an award,” said Ryder.
“There appears to be some massive mistake here,” said Bean. “Jim Rome, yes. Kevin and Bean, no.”
The induction ceremony will take place on November 8, 2019 in New York City.
