The series, in partnership with businesswoman, television and film star, and transgender rights advocate Angelica Ross and “Fierce” project creator and producer Anthony Preston of A2 Music Productions, will commemorate Black History Month through important conversations, dialogue and specialty programming that will aim to help to bring an end to violence and discrimination aimed at transgender women of color. The exclusive weeklong series of programming is buoyed by the empowering anthem “Fierce” by Ultra Naté and Angelica Ross featuring pop artists Mila Jam.
Programming will include a two-hour discussion with Ross and CHANNEL Q’s Ryan Mitchell; in-depth interviews with community leaders, politicians and celebrities; special “I’m Listening” content with Dr. Chris Donahue; a specialty DJ mix show with Ultra Naté; and more. Confirmed guests include Sarah McBride, Democratic member of the Delaware Senate and the first transgender state senator in the U.S.; Bravo personality Bevy Smith; GLAAD president and chief executive officer Sarah Kate Ellis; Human Rights Campaign president Alphonso David; and transgender activist and inspirational speaker Blossom Brown.
