Veterans & Service Members

We owe them our recognition, our thanks, and our support. By focusing on issues that impact this community most — wellbeing, employment and education – we honor the men, women and their families who make the biggest sacrifices for our country while serving at home or abroad, and help them navigate the transition back to civilian life.

Connectingvets.com

Created by a team of dedicated veterans, Connectingvets.com brings together other service members and veterans through stories of inspiration and perseverance. The site offers daily original content and key resources that help visitors transition to civilian life, stay informed and succeed. A series of podcasts and shows including Connecting Vets, VetStory, To War and Back and Eye on Veterans provide additional information and stories from the “battlefield of life.”

Stars & Strings

Entercom invites the biggest names in Country music to line up for a star-studded evening that honors our troops and veterans. Over 5,000 music fans and supporters gather for one amazing night of story-telling, music and celebration with a portion of the proceeds going to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides education support to spouses and children of America’s fallen and wounded soldiers. Over the last six years, we have raised over $250,000 for the organization.
Fisher House

Friends of Fisher House Puget Sound works tirelessly to meet the needs of military families throughout Washington State offering a “home away from home,” a place where families can stay and support their loved ones — at no cost — while they receive specialized military hospital/VA medical care. In 2009, the iconic KISW afternoon show, The Mens Room, partnered with Elysian Brewing to create Mens Room beers where proceeds support this important cause. We are honored to assist our veterans and active military personnel in the Seattle area, and have raised $814K to date.

Travis Manion Foundation

Travis Manion Foundation empowers veterans and families of the fallen to find an increased sense of local community, fulfillment, meaning and purpose during and after their military service. Since 2011, Entercom has supported the Travis Manion Foundation by elevating its ‘if not me then who?” mantra within the community. We have run alongside service members at the Heroes 9/11 run and have donated over $400,000 to support Veteran-led character development programs.
